Transport to Bansko
It is quite a long way from Sofia to Bansko, around 160 km, but you can get there relatively cheap. The best way is to book a taxi online, either a private taxi or you can get it cheaper by sharing. The prices are pretty reasonable with an average of €25 per person for a one way trip; it gets cheaper if you are a big group. You can have a look at these trusted websites:
Bansko is well known for having great accommodations at a cheaper price. You have a vast variety of accommodations to choose from all inclusive hotels to private apartments. We searched for the best value for money accommodation that are very close to the ski lift and the centre.
Hotel Ida (click here) is a 3 star hotel situated only 500m away from the ski lift and and a short walk to the centre. The price for a double room with balcony is that of €252.65 but you can opt to have a smaller room for a cheaper price of €232.65. All rooms have breakfast included.
The All Seasons Club hotel (click here) is a 4 star apart-hotel based in the centre of Bansko offering panoramic views of the mountains of Bansko. There is also a spa with indoor swimming pool, a sauna and a steam bath all for the price of just €257.67 for 7 nights for 2 people and breakfast is included as well.
Another hotel is the Evelina Palace Hotel (click here) which is more closer to the centre of Bansko than to the ski lift but still in an excellent location. They offer free shuttle service to the ski lift. The price for a double room is that of €270.90, also with breakfast included. You can opt to choose the free cancellation option which is a little higher in price.
For those traveling as a couple you can also opt for a studio flat which is considerably cheaper. Gondola Apartments & Suites (click here) offer studio apartments for just €168 for the whole 7 nights. That’s only €12 per person per day. It is very difficult to beat this price. all reviews are very positive and has a rating of 8.7 with over 250 reviews.
