Baden-Baden is one of the new direct routes offered by Ryanair from Malta. The service starts off in March, perfect for that spring break.

Although it is not such a popular name, Baden-Baden is perfectly located next to French border and close to Switzerland making it ideal for those one day trips to Strasbourg, Basel and others. Baden-Baden is a black forest town situated in the southwestern part of Germany, in the northeastern border of the black forest mountain range just a few km east of the river Rhine. There are many places to visit in the surrounding area such as colonnaded buildings and castles to temple like thermal baths. Towns nearby that are worth visiting are Heidelberg and Maulbronn. There are tow direct flights a week from Malta to Baden-Baden with Ryanair (click here) on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The service starts on Tuesday 22nd March just before Easter and perfect for those that do not want to take up a lot of vacation with Friday the 25th being a public holiday. One can opt either for the Tuesday to Tuesday flight or for the Tuesday to Saturday flight at a little extra cost.
